The Hidden Revenue Sitting in Your Google Drive
Your next product, workshop, lead magnet, or partnership opportunity may already exist. You just haven’t recognized it yet.
Every time I open someone’s Google Drive, I see the same thing.
Folders full of forgotten work. Workshop slides. Client resources. Summit presentations. PDFs. Voice notes. Google Docs with names like “Ideas” and “New Course Maybe.” Half-finished frameworks. Training recordings. Years of experience quietly collecting digital dust.
Most people look at those folders and see old files.
I see business assets waiting to be rediscovered.
We Have a Creation Problem
Not because we aren’t creating enough. Because we rarely stop to ask what we’ve already created.
Our instinct is almost always to start something new.
Another lead magnet. Another webinar. Another workshop. Another course. Another AI prompt. Another idea.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s work sits untouched.
The irony? Some of your most valuable opportunities are probably hiding inside work you’ve already finished.
The Hidden Revenue Most People Never See
Let’s imagine you taught a free workshop six months ago. Most people think the value ended when the Zoom call ended.
I don’t. I see:
- a digital product
- a paid workshop
- a lead magnet
- an email series
- a blog post
- a speaking presentation
- a podcast episode
- a workbook
- a framework
- a CustomGPT
- a Claude Project
- a client onboarding resource
Same workshop. Different expressions. That’s what I mean by business assets.
Why We Miss the Gold
The biggest obstacle isn’t organization. It’s familiarity.
The closer we are to our expertise, the more ordinary it feels. We tell ourselves:
“Everyone already knows this.” “That only took me twenty minutes.” “It was just a client workshop.” “It wasn’t that big of a deal.”
Meanwhile, someone else would gladly pay to learn exactly what you’ve been dismissing. One of the hardest parts of this work is recognizing the value of something that has become ordinary to you.
The Question That Changed My Business
A friend challenged me to stop creating new things and start looking through my Google Drive. That simple exercise changed the way I build my business.
One summit presentation became the inspiration for Expertise to Product™. A framework living in my head became Revenue Without Drama™. Client conversations became newsletters. Resources became products. Products became systems.
None of those opportunities appeared because I created more. They appeared because I looked differently at what I’d already created.
Now, before I build anything new, I ask one question:
What have I already created that deserves another life?
That question has become one of the most profitable habits in my business.
Stewardship Looks Different Than Hustle
We often think stewardship means protecting what we’ve been given. I think it also means using it. Not hiding it. Not forgetting it. Not assuming it no longer has value because you created it last year.
Stewardship asks: How can this continue serving people? How can this continue creating value? How can I multiply what I’ve already been entrusted with?
That’s a very different question than: “What should I create next?”
Your Google Drive Is an Asset Library
The next time you open Google Drive, don’t organize it. Mine it.
Look for:
- Workshops you’ve taught
- Presentations you’ve given
- Client resources you’ve created
- Templates you’ve designed
- PDFs you’ve shared
- Emails you’ve written
- Voice notes
- Frameworks
- Notes
- Recordings
Don’t ask, “Should I delete this?” Ask, “What else could this become?”
The Bottom Line
Your next business asset might not require a brand-new idea. It might require a fresh perspective.
Before you open another blank document… Before you brainstorm another lead magnet… Before you ask AI to generate another course outline… Open your Google Drive.
Your next opportunity may already be waiting for you.
